Kasson City Administrator resigns after almost 4 years
As the City of Kasson recovered from devastating amounts of rain, and flooding, Kasson City Administrator Theresa Coleman, signed her name to her resignation letter, on Friday, June 28.
Coleman began her career in Kasson in November of 2015, after spending almost six years at the Spring Grove City Administrator.
Penning her resignation letter hand written on a WHKS letterhead, Coleman thanked the city for allowing her to serve Kasson. WHKS is the engineering firm that Kasson uses for its City Engineering services.
“Thank you for the opportunity to serve the City of Kasson. It has been an adventure and a pleasure. I respectfully request that you accept this letter as my 30 day notice that I am resigning my position as City Administrator,” the letter stated.
The kasson City Council was scheduled to take action on the resignation during its normal council meeting Wednesday, after the time of publication.
As a result of the resignation not being officially accepted by the council, Mayor Chris McKern nor Coleman were able to comment on the resignation.
According to Herald/Review Media, Coleman reached a tentative agreement with Bisbee, Ariz. to serve in the same role.
The DCI will have a more in-depth story in next week’s DCI after action is taken during Wednesday’s City Council Meeting.
