NRHEG girls win opener

Winning a season opener is always fun and doing it on the home court makes it better. The NRHEG girls ran past Kenyon-Wanamingo 71-44 Thursday, Nov. 21, after playing to a 28-28 tie at the half.
“We got a slow start in the first half,” commented Coach Onika Peterson, “but we rebounded well in the second half and were able to run the floor much better. It is always good to win a season opener.”
Sophie Stork had 34 points and 7 rebounds to lead the Panther attack. Sidney Schultz contributed 25 points and 6 assists, and Haile Schultz 6 rebounds and 5 assists.
All but two girls had at least one point in the game.
